It seems like yesterday that beautiful, gentle Maizy and her FIVE newborn kittens were abandoned at the door of a very over crowded shelter. The tiny, adorable babies, plus an older orphan who Maizy adopted as her own, were lovingly reared by their wonderful momma and 3 wonderful FFGW foster families. Maizy and almost all of her kids (including adopted daughter Begley) have been adopted . . . except for son ELVIS and daughter Cali! Elvis and Cali are enjoying being the babies in their foster home.

Cali is a beautiful, comical, sometimes thoughtful little girl with lots of energy and an extra dose of curiosity. This may be due to the fact that Cali spent a few weeks in late summer getting some special one-on-one attention from a graduate-school-bound FFGW volunteer who needed some feline companionship. That's also where she got her nickname California (even tho grad school is in the Lonestar State) and where the adorable picture of Cali "helping" pack was taken. 

Elvis and Cali may, but don’t have to, be adopted together.

Update October 2012: Cali AND Elvis have been adopted by two wonderful families!
