Little Begley was turned into a local shelter at barely 3 weeks of age, too young to eat on her own—and too young to be adopted. She was a tiny kitten in big trouble until Maizy came to her rescue by adopting and nursing her along with her own quintet of newborns. And then, thanks to the advocacy of the shelter staff, FFGW rescued all seven from their doom under the shelter’s euthanasia policy. Begley has no idea that she was ever in trouble, that she is older than her adopted siblings or that Maizy did not give birth to her. Indeed, of all the kittens, Begley seems to be the #1 momma’s girl in the bunch. She is a stunning, brown tabby & white little lady, full of fun and affection. She would love to be adopted with one of her brothers or sister Cali, but we are not-so-secretly hoping that she will be adopted with Maizy.
UPDATE: Begley fell in love with her new Mommy & Daddy at our July 2012 adoption fair and the resy is history!
P.S. Maizy met her mom-to-be at the same fair and will be going home in early August. So even though they weren't adopted by the same family, they were adopted together--sort of :)!
