Oh Aurora! A lovely dilute tortie, Aurora was running out of time at a struggling shelter in rural Maryland. We didn't have a foster home open at the moment, but how could we say no to that sweet little face? So one of our foster moms squeezed her into her small condo for a few days, where Aurora found the competition of three ultra outgoing kitties (one of whom could not accept that Aurora didn't want him in her face all the time) a bit too much--there just wasn't enough mommy time for her taste. But soon, a new foster family joined us and took Aurora in. Two humans and one little cat-submissive dog turned out to be the perfect ratio to bring out Aurora's purr!  She is loving, cuddly and playful and wants to be with, on or in the arms of her foster parents all the time. She is tolerant of their little dog, is happy to nap alongside him and will even steal pieces of food from his dinner, but her main focus is on her people and making sure they know how much she loves them. To quote her foster mom, "Aurora is a great little kitty!"

Update 4-21-13: Aurora has been adopted!  She has a new mom, a new dad AND a new (feline) sister--Felicity!
