Meet the lovely green-eyed Felicity! This is a cat who has never met a stranger, a trait that has served her well, and probably saved her life. One late February day, she appeared at a school bus stop and followed some high school kids home. The kids and their mom wanted to keep her, but the their dad had other ideas and put the cat out into the freezing night. Even so, the little kitty stayed around the yard, and although the kids continued to sneak her into the house, their dad found her every time and unceremoniously showed her the door. Frantic with worry (and none too happy with her spouse) the mom asked a cat-loving coworker for advice. Felicitously, that coworker lived next door to an FFGW volunteer . . .
Now safe in foster care, Felicity is as friendly as ever. Felicity is not big on being picked up or held, but she always wants to be wherever her person is, and enjoys lounging and relaxing with her foster mom. Although the vet says Felicity is about a year old, she still has bouts of the "Kitten Krazies" almost every day when she just HAS to play -- and insists (sometimes emphatically) that her foster mom play along.
Felicity was chased by some neighborhood dogs before she was rescued so we're not sure how she feels about canines, but we have learned that she can be agressive with other cats, so we suspect she would prefer to be an only child--or at least the only kitty in the house!
UPDATE: Felicity has been adopted!!! We're late with the news (February 2014) but the love match was actually struck in November 2013 and our little lady and her new mom FLEW to Washington State for Christmas with her new grandparents!
