Tabby & white Apollo and white & black Zeus are such friendly, playful and affectionate boys! Late last summer, they found their way to the grounds of a large local church, where they were literally growing like little weeds: unwanted, untended and unloved. At the church’s fall festival, a cat-savvy visitor noticed the kittens playing in the grass and (as we cat people do) began asking questions about who they belonged to. It was clear no one was looking out for the little boys, and the festival organizers readily accepted her offer to trap them. In return, the organizers promised money for vet expenses and help finding adoptive homes. When the promised help failed to materialize, the boys’ benefactor turned to FFGW for help. We are delighted to introduce you to Apollo and Zeus! The boys are a bit shy in new situations, but warm up quickly—and when they do, they really show you how wonderful life with cats can be! Apollo is a climber (cat trees, book shelves, foster moms) and a lover; he has a powerful purr, loves to cuddle and to both give and receive kisses and hugs.  Zeus is also a cuddle-bug, but likes his snuggling in small doses; he’s too busy looking for his next adventure to sit still for too long. Zeus loves to play, whether it’s wrestling with his brother, playing with one of his dozens of toys or challenging an obliging human into an exciting game. Both boys love to be petted and are good about having their toenails trimmed. Apollo and Zeus have grown up together, are each other’s best friends and naturally would love to be adopted together. On the other paw, they are so friendly with the other cats in their caregiver’s home that we’re sure they’d happily adjust if you’re only looking for one kitty to complete your family. 

Update February 17, 2013: We are so excited! Apollo has been chosen to be the older-new brother of ilo, adopted from FFGW in August 2012! Zeus took the news philosophically: "more toys for ME!"
