About Iris | |
|
Pretty Iris was brought into a city shelter with her sisters when they were tiny, motherless infants. They were too young to be adopted and scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, a legendary local specialist in neonatal kitten care raced to the shelter, brought them home, and cared for them round the clock. When Iris and her sisters, who have already been adopted, were almost 4 weeks old and weaned, their rescuer entrusted them to our care so that she could take in more tiny orphans. Iris has grown into a precious, loving young lady. She is a little shy with strangers and not at all fond of adoptions fairs, so you aren't seeing her at her best. But truly, among trusted humans, she is an adorable, loving girl. And while Iris may be a shrinking violet here, at home, she LOVES to play with her foster mom's adult cats. Iris is totally used to the company of dogs, although we can't say that she is a true dog lover. We think our little princess is truly something special-and we know you will too! Iris misses her sisters terribly and would love to be adopted with her foster sister, Faith.
Update February 17, 2013: Flash forward two and one-half years and you'll see proof that kitty dreams do come true! Iris was adopted today--by the same mommy who adopted Faith in September 2010! We can't wait to hear how the girls react!
