Handsome Breckin is a pedigreed Ragdoll with lots of personality and catitude.  Breckin’s incredibly playful, too. Chasing laser lights is a favorite interactive game and he loves to scatter his large collection of catnip mice (especially the ones with the feathered tails) around the house.  His coat is exquisite and soft with a long, fluffy tail which he holds very regally.  Breckin is currently living in a multipet household and is simply miserable.

In happier times, before the loss of a beloved mellow Maine Coon companion, the addition of a new kitten and a move last year to a home where there were already three cats and two dogs in residence, Breckin was the undisputed ruler of his roost. He’d greet his mom at the door with a noisy hello, follow her around and just crack her up with exuberant romps up and down the stairs and around the house with his tail straight up in the air. Then he’d settle down by her side while she worked at her desk or sewing machine. He’d even sit on the edge of the tub when she took a bubble bath!  Unlike most Ragdolls, Breckin is not much of a cuddler or one to sit in your lap. But then again, if you are cuddled up with a blanket and watching a movie, he will curl up next to your feet. Breckin loves to be up high, and if you feel like someone is watching you, it’s probably Breckin looking down from his favorite perch at the top of his cat tree!

Sadly, this funny, fun-loving Breckin hasn’t been seen very much since the move last year. Worse, his unhappiness has resulted in some very upsetting, escalating aggression toward his little feline brother and the other cats. He has also engaged in some undesirable acting out behaviors that show how truly unhappy he is. No one in the house can be happy either while Breckin is so miserable. So his mom has made the sad decision to try to find a home where Breckin can once again be the star of his own one-man show, or share the stage with one other mild-mannered feline friend who won't fight him for the spotlight.

Approved applicants can visit Bracken in his owner's home in Jefferson County WV or arrangements can be made to meet him in Leesburg VA.
