UPDATE NOVEMBER 2015: LuLu has been adopted! We are so excited!
Lulu is a precious ball of sunshine and fire. She came to FFGW at 6 weeks old, with a broken pelvis, and unable to do more than drag her hind legs. Nonetheless, she was a bright, cheerful little thing from the very first day. After two weeks of cage rest, Lulu had her feet under her, and was off to the races. At four months, Lulu had surgery to remove the top of her femur, which will prevent her now-healed broken pelvis from causing her future pain or injuries. She is completely recovered now, and has a slight, permanent limp since one leg is now a little shorter than the other, but it doesn't slow her down one bit. Lulu's tail is longer than Lulu herself, and strangely enough, her tail has long hair, while the rest of Lulu is only medium-haired. It makes her look a little bit ridiculous, a little bit like a fox, and a LOT of adorable. If you dream of having a lap cat, Lulu is the girl for you. It doesn't matter how often her foster Mom gets up and down, Lulu is back in the lap as soon as the lap is formed. She loves to share the lap with a laptop and snuggles underneath the computer to make her own toasty Lulu Cave, where she promptly goes into a trance of kneading and deep kitten sleep. (Shhh, don't tell her that six months old is too big for kitten naps.) Lulu LOVES playing with her four adult foster siblings, and has learned very important cat lessons from them - like don't-bother-the-big-tortie-when-she's-cranky. Lulu does not have a meow yet, but maybe you can coax it out of this little doll baby?
