About Dipsy | |

|
This sweet special boy was an owner surrender to a city shelter. He was kept out of the euthanasia room by his sheer sweetness: the shelter staff loved him and hoped against hope that a rescue group would agree to help the sweet boy who loved to be kissed and purred on sight, Dipsy was the subject of multiple appeals to rescue groups throughout the greater Washington-Baltimore area, to no avail. On his absolute last possible day, Dipsy still had purrs to purr, cheeks to rub and head butts to dispense. And even though Dipsy was emaciated and diagnosed with thyroid disease and some thyroid-related complications, FFGW just could not turn him away. His thyroid condition has responded well to medication, he's starting to gain weight and generally doing well. In addition to doling out purrs and head butts, Dipsy loves to be held and cuddled. As far as we can tell, he has never met a lap he didn't want to climb into. In fact, he loves anything that brings him in close contact with people. Dipsy enjoys leisurely meals and likes to have company while he eats. He even loves to be brushed. Please do yourself a favor and think about opening your heart and home to this extraordinary cat.
