I've done my job, my babies are all adopted! Now I'm ready to be your baby!

Agnes is a marvelous cat!  Her story almost had a tragic ending: a foolish farmer placed Agnes, young and unspayed, in his barn, thinking that she would solve his rodent problem. Unfortunately, not all cats are born to hunt, and even the best mousers still need food, water and medical care. Poor Agnes was a complete failure at her day job and almost starved to death. She became pregnant and had her babies all alone in the barn. Fortunately, a visitor to the farm followed the sound of kittens mewing and found a weak, emaciated tortie cat curled up around 3 tiny babies. The farmer readily agreed to have his problem "employee" taken off his hands.

 

Safe in foster care, and nursed back to robust health, Agnes proved to be one of the sweetest kitties and best moms ever.  But despite her sweetness, she is still waiting for a home long after her babies have all been adopted.  We ask ourselves "What gives?"

 

Agnes is an absolute sweetheart. She is very VERY smart and entertaining. Since her babies were adopted, she has dominated the other cats in her foster home. They inform us that Agnes wants to be your one and only!
