About Mimi's Astro | |
Astro, his almost identical twin Buzz, and the rest of their siblings were born on July 8th, the day after their very pregnant mother Mimi was abandoned at a rural shelter. Doted on every minute(some might say spoiled) for all but their first 8 days, the kittens are extremely well socialized with humans of all ages and run to greet strangers at the door and by the time everyone has been introduced, treat every visitor as a lifelong friend. Astro and Buzz are sweet and affectionate. They love to run and play and will keep going until they wear themselves out. Even while playing, they will take breaks to come get some human love -- petting or a little hug -- before they return to their games. Then, with their last burst of energy, they will run and find someone to cuddle with -- human or cat, as long as they have someone to sleep with they are happy. They love love love the Cat Dancer toy, but can happily occupy themselves playing with napkins and boxes. They are also often found looking out the window or lounging on the cat shelf by the window in their nursery. They are both well-behaved (by kitten standards) and less likely to push the boundaries than some of their more adventurous siblings. Box-trained, eat both dry and wet kitten food, use cat scratching trees, and now showing an interest in catnip. (Or maybe just visit it because Mommy Mimi loves it.) Both are often found lounging on one of the cat trees. Astro and his brother are handsome young boys with big green eyes and striking striped markings, along with the big M on their foreheads. Neither Astro nor Buzz has ever been alone, so would be happiest adopted together, with one or more of their other littermates (such as Marco and Lola, who must be adopted together), with their mom, and if not, by a family with at least one cat-friendly older kitty. Indeed, every one of the kittens has great younger sibling potential: they seem to instinctively know which of their foster parents' four adult cats are in the mood to play and when to flop before them in submission.
Update: December was an exciting time! Astro and all of Mimi's other babies went home to their forever families! Just Mimi is waiting for her special someone--could that be you?
