About Robin

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Brown Tabby
  • Owner Experience Needed: Species
  • Reaction to New People: Friendly

This darling little brown striped tabby is the most outgoing kitten you will ever see! A traumatic injury as a wee kitten required amputation of one of her front legs, but Robin does not let her three-legged status stop her from scaling all heights and bounding around the house, up and down stairs and to the very top of her cat tree! She is both loving and independent: she adores snuggle and purr time but when she wants to play, she will not be deterred! Robin gets along very well with other cats and, while she hisses at the dogs in her foster home, she is not intimidated by them. She requires no special care relating to her amputation.

Please note: Robin plays aggressively and in the midst of crazy-playtime she will “play bite” her humans just as she would her littermates. She needs an experienced cat person to handle all that exuberance and joy, and probably should not join a family with young children.

P.S. Robin says thank you to all the FFGW supporters who made her surgery possible and all of FFGW is grateful to Dr. Greg Griffin and his team at The Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield VA for their wonderful care and generous and unexpected discount!

P.P.S. Update 10-26-13 ROBIN HAS BEEN ADOPTED! What a wonderful outcome for a little girl who had such a rough start!
