This totally tame, totally adorable little one was found at a gas station on a freezing night, all alone, no mom or littermates in sight. Her young rescuer could not keep her, and took her to a local vet hospital someone said would take in stray animals. Unfortunately, hospital policy had just changed and they could not do so unless a rescue group agreed to take financial responsibility. Fate intervened: FFGW’s foster coordinator just happened to be at the same vet with one of her FFGW kitties. She overheard the exchange and stepped up to the counter. Within minutes, our lucky little lady was purring away in an exam room, pronounced healthy and was off to her foster home within the hour. A playful bundle of energy who never sits still except when sleepy, Karmalita is wonderful with other cats, with two goofy dogs and her foster family’s little girls .
