Our beautiful round snow white kitty was turned in to a high kill shelter by owners who said she was a perfectly fine cat but they were simply tired of having pets. We can’t imagine what they were thinking! Snowflake is a wonderful kitty with lots and lots of love to share. She's a chatty girl and wants to be wherever her foster mom is, right down to following her into the bathroom and “talking” to her through the shower curtain!

Snowflake LOVES belly rubs, being petted and chin scratches, too. She also likes to be brushed, but only for so long. Like many larger kitties (and Snowflake is a big girl—just around 20 pounds at her last vet visit), Snowflake doesn’t like to be held or carried, but she does want to be near her family at all times: on the couch during TV time and at the foot of the bed all night long (she really likes the little steps her foster mom has for getting up and down!)

But don’t think of Snowflake as just another fluffy couch potato—this kitty loves toys and bats them all over the house. She is very sociable when human company comes to call, and gets along famously with her foster kitty brother. They don't really play together, but they touch noses a lot and will often eat off the same plate without incident. She had no trouble adjusting to him, which was pretty impressive since he is a totally in your face kitty and didn’t give her the option to ignore him!

We’ve given Snowflake time to adjust before starting her on a weight loss regimen, but that’s on the agenda for her next vet visit and is something you will want to continue with your vet’s supervision, for her own good.
