Rupert's foster mother describes him as a handsome boy who appears to have swallowed a pumpkin!! Eating is obviously high on his list of favorite activities, but Rupert also enjoys watching the birds and squirrels outside his window and taking naps in the warmth of a sunbeam. Although he interacts well with other cats--and even gentle dogs--his foster mother suspects that he'd be just as happy as an only cat as long as his new humans are home by dinner time every night! Rupert's personality is so docile and gentle that we think he would be an excellent candidate to do some volunteer work as a therapy cat if his new parents were so inclined. Originally rescued from a college campus, our fine orange fellow lost his home due to his rescuer's health issues. Undaunted, Rupert is patiently waiting for a new home and crossing his paws that this time it will be forever. If you take him home, he promises to love you with his whole heart!
Update Fenruary 2012: Rupert has just gone home to his new home AND SLEPT IN BED WITH HIS PARENTS THE VERY FIRST NIGHT! We are so happy and excited for Rupert, who thanks to his original rescuer and his FFGW foster family, came a long way from campus vagabond to the lucky boy he is today!
