After more than 6 happy years together, Sandy’s adoptive mom had a crippling stroke and family members returned her to FFGW.

Although Sandy once insisted on being an only cat, Sandy has accepted the concept of sharing the planet with other cats and even dogs.

Even so, she still likes to think of herself as her foster mom's favorite. Sandy is an inquisitive, affectionate kitty and a loyal, loving friend.

Sad News: Our darling Sandy went to the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday October 9, 2011. She was 14.5 years old and had been with her second FFGW mommy for 6 years too. Her mom Linda wrote to us about her girl: "Sandy and I had 6 great years together and she was the most loving and gentle cat I have ever known.  I miss her terribly and all of this came on so suddenly that I was not prepared to lose her.  . . .  I will always be grateful to you for helping me to adopt a wonderful cat like Sandy."
