This six pack of black (& black & white) kittens may have been born on Friday the 13th, but they've been pretty lucky ever since! When scouting for a safe place to have her babies, their young mom, Veronica, fortuitously chose the yard of long time FFGW volunteers. Fortune smiled again when they were able to trap Veronica and whisk the whole family to a foster home just before torrential rains fell. Mom Veronica is feral and not inclined to share her life with humans. So when the kittens were about 10 weeks old, she was spayed and returned to her outdoor home, where she will be fed and watched over by our volunteers for the rest of her life. But the babies are as adorable as can be and waiting to make their adopters the luckiest of all! 

UPDATE JANUARY 2012: Fred, Hope, Mary & Pete have all been adopted! Now 8 months & a week, only Jane & Will are waiting to follow their lucky siblings to homes of their own very soon!! Good luck to them--see their individual cage tags now that they're big kids!!!!
