Poppins was adopted from FFGW as a kitten in 2000. She's a sweet, funny girl who thrives on attention and is surprisingly playful for a girl of her age and size. One of her favorite things is to chase a string toy around the house, a game she will play as long as a human is willing to drag the string. Her other favorite thing is to be cuddled and brushed. Unfortunately, Popplns hasn't been getting much playtime or attention recently. Her adopters both have high pressure jobs and two young children, and are having a hard time giving Poppins, or her younger feline brother, much attention at all. Poppins has taken it hard. And while she gets some solace from her kitty brother (they groom each other), he has started to compensate for the lack of human attention by stalking and pouncing on Poppins, Her dad says their behavior instantly improves when he makes a concerted effort to groom and play with the cats every day. Poppins needs a consistent loving caregiver, who she will reward with love and affection--and good behavior--in return. Poppin would be very happy if she could lie on her back and show you her orange striped tummy!

Update July 2012: We're so sad to share that our precious Poppins was able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the Rainbow Bridge. But happy that she  was so lucky to spend her 13th and last year with her adoptive mom, Grace.
