Hercules is a handsome classic tabby fellow, deep orange with just a spot of white under his chin. Although past his first birthday, he's still a kitten at heart--playful, active, and funny! Now that he's a big boy, he asked to speak for himself and wrote you this note:

Hello!  My name is Hercules. I’m a very, very snuggly orange tabby. If you want a lap cat, a cat who will snuggle with you while you sleep and sit on your lap while you read or watch t.v., I’m your cat!  I’m very laid back. I like to play gently, and I love to look out the window at all of the goings on of Capitol Hill. I also love to lick water out of sinks and bathtubs! Can you believe how pink my nose is? I’m a bit of a momma’s boy; I like to suckle my arm and knead when I’m really relaxed.

One thing to know about me is I have a bit of a sensitive stomach, but I’m on a hypoallergenic diet that has really helped me! You can ask my foster parents more about that. They say the food is a little more expensive than regular cat food but that I’m worth it.

I’d be okay by myself as an only cat if my human was willing to give me some good exercise and playtime every day. But I also like other cats lots and lots, and they help me get some good exercise, too.  It takes me a little while to make friends with new cats, but I’ve lived with other cats almost my whole life.  I’m a very earnest guy (just look at my earnest face!). I take my time and don't rush into things. If you come meet me, I may be a little slow in warming up, but once I do warm up, I’m just about the most loving guy you’ll meet. Please give me a chance!

Love,

HERCULES!

AWESOME UPDATE: Tortilla and Hercules have been adopted TOGETHER and will be going home to their new home at the end of July!
