This handsome, friendly boy was abandoned by his owner who no longer wanted to care for him.
Fortunately, after several terrible months wandering the neighborhood, Garfield found a good Samaritan, who fed him and built him a shelter but who couldn't offer him a home because of her dogs.
Although admittedly not a "cat person" the kind-hearted lady describes Garfield as a particularly affable, outgoing kitty, who loves being petted and held.
