Say hello to Shira! A dilute tortie with white patches (a Torti-Co), Shira is a lithe beauty! Shy at first, she will warm up to you quickly, purring as she wiggles over to be next to you. Shira is curious and eager to learn! It’s impossible not to smile at her expression as she experiences something new; her eyes get wide and her head tilts just a bit as she decides what’s happening.

She is the kind of cat who will be very connected to her person. She has an adorable, high pitched meow which she unleashes to greet her best cat buddy.  She likess to talk and sometimes calls out to her friend Sky to find where he is in the house.  

Shira is a cautious explorer; she will observe and assess before jumping up anywhere. In the evenings she LOVES to cuddle on the couch and receive pets as she burrows in next to you. She likes chasing a wand toy and the laser pointer, and carrys her favorite mouse toys around the house. She likes to watch birds from a window just like Sky. Shira is good with her foster mom's 50lb dog but mostly just stays out of her way.   

Shira eats well and has excellent litter box manners and she has learned to use a scratching post, 

Shira gets along with the other cats in the house, and is a very sweet-natured, affectionate cat.

At this point, she is not a fan of to being picked up and carried and would appreciate some patience as she learns that your arms are a safe haven. She purrs quickly when being brushed or petted, though!

She is friendly and will greet you and follow you through the house like a little shadow. She is becoming a great nap buddy and really loves to roll around on the bed for petting and attention.  

Sky and Shira are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
