Miss Kitty (of Dodge City) is a small, but brave little tabby. After surviving the winter in the woods of western Loudoun, she was finally rescued by her current foster parent early summer. Since then, she has been living a far different life, no longer having to hunt for minimal food sources in the cold months, find shelter in bad weather, nor hide from predators. She now enjoys abundant food, health care, friendly company, and comfortable quarters. She has also been relearning how to play rather than just survive. She has several favorite toys that she loves to grab, squeeze, and kick. From the very first time her fosters met Miss Kitty she wanted to be pet, sitting up on her hind feet and extending her head to be rubbed. When someone walks in the room, she gives out a cute meow and blurping sound and runs to greet her foster. She loves to lay on the bed and reach out with both paws to gently pull a nearby hand to her head for some loving and begins to purr. While Miss Kitty is quite affectionate she also does like her “me” time, where she lays atop her cat tree to look out the window and watch the birds, trees, and other activity.
