Meet Colby Jack! He is a very sweet and laid-back kitty. He has lived as a stray for a lot of his life. His foster mom was feeding him for months and was finally able to catch and bring him inside. He instantly turned into a purr machine and loves to come and get pets. He has adjusted to the indoor life very well. He loves to watch the birds from the window or chill on the couch with his foster mom and siblings. He gets along very well with cats and kids. He has not been tested with dogs but due to his more laidback personality, we think he could do well with them after an introduction. 

He is FIV+. FIV is a retrovirus that weakens the immune system. It is typically only passed between cats through deep bite wounds so most FIV+ cats can live with other cats without any problems. FIV+ cats can usually live as long as cats without the virus. They have a weakened immune system so they might be more prone to getting sick so he would need a home with someone that can get him veterinary care in a timely manner if anything comes up. The vet said he seems to be very healthy when he was seen so he does not have any other medical concerns otherwise.
