|
Ava has the look and personality of a kitten even though she is one year old. She is VERY tiny and petite, and a spunky little spark plug (she can usually be found chirping and doing sprints around the house with the other cats or entertaining herself with a kicker toy) She is social (she will immediately rub on someone’s ankles even if she hasn’t met them before) and fearless (there was no hiding for this girl when she got to the foster home. She immediately ran out of the carrier to explore).
Ava is like a husky trapped in a cat’s body—she’s all attitude and energy and loves attention. This girl is also “large and in charge” (figuratively speaking) because her sass makes up for her size. It’s best to follow her lead. If she is flopping, purring, rubbing, and cuddling, she’ll let you give her tons of love and will climb into your lap to snuggle. But if she is in her “independent mode” and zooming around, it’s best to play with her or let her wear herself out. She’ll let you know exactly what she wants and when.
She adjusted to the five other cats in her foster home within 48 hours and gets along with all of them. She has been a great companion for my high energy cat. She keeps her foster fur-brother busy so that I can get my work done. I feel like she’s so resilient that she would also do great as a companion for a high energy dog with the proper introduction.
She will also be a great companion as an only cat. She loves to hang out in my lap while I’m reading, runs to greet me when I get home, and “shadows” me wherever I go when the other cats are sleeping. If you need some entertainment in your life, don’t miss out on this adorable girl boss.
