Artemis, named after the Greek goddess of wild animals, is an amazing, affectionate and beautiful lady who is ready to find her forever home. 

Artemis was discovered by a kind family who noticed her in their back woods.  The family started to feed her when they realized she did not seem to have a home. Quickly, they learned that she was very docile and sweet. Time passed and one day Artemis led the family into the woods. They discovered she had four newborn kittens living in a ditch covered by fallen trees. Clearly, she wanted the kind family to help them too. Artemis and her adorable kittens were taken in by FFGW. Now that her kittens have grown and found homes, Artemis is ready to find a friendly and loving home of her own, preferably without other cats. 

Artemis’ personality is very sweet and affectionate. She is a bit more on the reserved side, having lived on her own in the woods for so long, so she prefers pets and curling up next to you versus being picked up and cuddled.  She will cuddle up next to you, however, whether by your feet when sitting and working at your desk, or right next to you on the floor or the bed. Artemis loves to talk and will be sure to say “hello” to you and to let you know when it’s time for her meal. She will also purrr often and loves to make “dough” on soft blankets.
