Girly is a totally adorable, utterly engaging kitty. Born in an FFGW foster home and adopted as a tiny kitten, Girly's life was good--she adored her adoptive mom, admired her older kitty brother and quickly adjusted when her mom got married. But then Girly's world turned upside down--a new baby joined the family. Girly was terrified and would bolt from the room at the sound of the baby's cry or the sight of one of his toys. When her mom returned to work, there was no time for Girly, and she became withdrawn and depressed, and stopped using her litterbox faithfully. Overwhelmed by the demands of working motherhood and under pressure from her husband, Girly was returned to us in September 2003. For almost 8 months, we had to board Girly at a vet hospital, where she recovered her purr and her litterbox skills. Now in her own room in a foster home, Girly has been a perfect litterbox user, but seems to miss the attention and stimulation of the vet hospital. So what she needs now is a caring, cat-savvy person brave enough to take a chance on her and to offer her a stable home! A mellow kitty companion would probably suit Girly just fine, too!
