Update May 31, 2015 : We have THE most wonderful news! After almost TWELVE years and FIVE different foster homes,   JESSE has been A * D * O * P * T * E * D!!!!!!  Our darling girl now has a home and person of her very own!

Wonderful Jesse is an affectionate, laid-back softy with an enormous purr. In her younger years ( she has been in foster care since she was 1 ½ !) Jessie was a fun-loving bundle of energy. But FOUR foster homes later, she has mellowed into a lady of leisure who just likes to be around her people. She l-o-v-e-s physical contact, particularly back scratches and being brushed. She also loves tummy rubs and cuddling, and bird-and-squirrel watching. Jesse has been waiting and waiting for a cuddly human or two to lavish her with love. Although we used to think Jessie needed a cat-free home, in her next-to-last foster home (#4), she was calm about the presence of the family's cats, dogs and toddler! And now, in FOSTER HOME #5, Jessie has really evolved: SHE HAS EVEN BEEN SEEN NAPPING ON THE SAME BED WITH HER FELINE FOSTER BROTHER! While Jessie might still prefer to be an only child, she is, at last, willing to consider the right cat-tolerant kitty companion. We are so proud of Jessie--she just continues to surprise and delight us! If only we could reward her for all this love with a home of her very own!!!

Jesse has been diagnosed with a condition called IBS (inflammatory bowel syndrome) that is totally controlled with a pill that she takes every other day without a single complaint. She doesn't require any special food and, except that her vet hopes she will lose a little weight, she is very, very healthy! 

PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING JESSIE A CHANCE! SHE HAS BEEN IN FIVW DIFFERENT FOSTER HOMES SINCE 2003 ! SHE DESERVES A FOREVER HOME OF HER OWN--PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING HER AND MAKING HER NEXT MOVE HER LAST!!!!!
