Special Needs Kitty Needs Forever Home!
GiGi
is a sweet girl around one year old who was flown to safety in the US from the Congo after a dog attack lead to paralysis.
GiGi
gets around well and is very fast even though she does not have use of her back legs! She loves to play with the ball in track toy and with fishing pole toys.
GiGi
lives with other cats in her foster home but doesn't love them. She can peacefully co-exist as long as they respect her space. She is fine with dogs, as there are three in her foster home.
Because of the paralysis,
GiGi
's bladder needs to be expressed several times a day. This is a very simple procedure that can easily be taught to her future forever family.
She has recently started laser therapy that might in the long term result in partial use of one of her hind legs, but is unlikely to restore bladder function.
We think
GiGi
deserves a chance at a forever home, and are hoping there is a family out there willing to give her a shot. We would start her off as a foster cat until her family feels comfortable enough with her care to formally adopt her. Please email info@FFGW.org to inquire about fostering/adopting
GiGi
.
