Four month old Alaska came from an overcrowded, rural WV shelter and was one of the favorites of the caretakers there. We aren’t sure why he is named for the 49th state, but we like to think Alaska has a heart as big as...well, Alaska. Or maybe he’s named for the toasted meringue on the dessert Baked Alaska? Who knows. All we know is he’s a total delight. He loves to wrap himself around your neck and purr in your ear. He makes biscuits in your lap and gazes at you adoringly when he isn’t tearing around the house, playing up a storm. He absolutely adores kittens and other cats and would be fine with kids and cat-friendly dogs. BUT he really really loves cats, so a home with some feline company would be ideal.
