Sweet, talkative love bug Xena had a wonderful life. She was the only child of an older gentleman. When he became ill, his family arranged for him to stay at home with nursing care. And with his precious Xena. Little by little, as he needed more care, more caregivers came and went from the house. Some liked Xena; some didn’t. Some remembered to feed her and scoop her litter box; some didn’t. Xena was stressed and sad. Eventually as Xena’s dad faded into his illness, the caregivers complained about having to care for the cat, too. Tragically, his family brought  Xena to her vet to be put to sleep. The vet couldn’t do it: Xena was so beautiful, so affectionate and very healthy. The vet convinced the family to sign her over to the hospital and contacted FFGW. We said yes, and are so glad we did! Xena loves people, and loves to chat and cuddle.
