Little Hope was found wandering alone in a neighborhood by a concerned person who thought she had no eyes.  When we got her to a veterinary opthamologist, we learned that Hope has something called micro-opthamia -- literally, "tiny eyes".

This condition requires no special care.  (It's similar to having an extra toe or a nub for a tail!)  However, Hope is likely completely blind or, at most, can see large shapes.  The reason we can't say for sure is that this girl is a super-cat!  Her senses of touch, smell and hearing are so phenomenal that you will forever debate whether she might, in fact, have some sight.

Hope does not let her "tiny eyes" affect her in the least. She is a bit shy with newcomers, but once she knows who you are, (and where you are) she will let her true personality shine.  She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and purr. Her absolute favorite past-time is to pick up toys in her mouth, jump in the bathtub with them, and proceed to have her very own soccer match in the tub.  It's brilliant, really -- (check out the videos of her in action)!

Hope lives in a foster home with cats and dogs.  She isn't fond of the dogs but tolerates them well.  She plays pretty much constantly with her foster kitty siblings, wrestling, playing chase, and of course, playing soccer.  She races up and down stairs and climbs up on furniture -- in short, if you did not look at her face you would never know she is likely blind.

Hope must go to a home with another cat who will be her play-and-cuddle-mate.  If you are looking for a pair, she currently lives with foster brother Dean, and the two love to play together.  Consider adopting the dynamic duo -- you will lose hours each day watching and laughing at their antics!
