Coquina is a sweet little waif who was found starving and alone in the middle of the biggest heat wave Virginia has seen in a long time.  A kind rescuer picked her up, brought her in out of the heat and called FFGW.

She loves to be held and purrs mightily when held or petted.  She's a little shy in new surroundings but as soon as she feels confident she is out and about and exploring her territory.  Coquina is a gentle kitten who likes to play in cat tunnels and with toy mice.  She gets along well with other cats but is a bit afraid of the dogs in her foster home.

Note from foster:  Coquina loves to snuggle on my chest and shoulder.  She'll cuddle right up under my chin and just purr away.
